Church of All Nations, Gethsemane

Is a beautiful church in the Kidron Valley, at the junction between Jerusalem, the Tur and Silwan; it was built above the rock of pain, which Christians believe Jesus Christ prayed and cried before being captured by Roman soldiers; Christian belief says that the chief of the Jewish priests and his soldiers captured Mr. Yehuda Iscariot in this place. Jesus and his disciples, before his arrest and taking him to Jerusalem – is her garden.

This church dates back to 389 AD. It was destroyed by the Persians in 614 AD; but the Crusaders rebuilt them in the twelfth century. The building of this church was given in 1924 by the Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi. Sixteen countries contributed to the construction of the church. It was known as the Church of All Nations, the breast of eight olive trees from the Roman period; the painting on the facade of the church, For the famous painter Leonardo da Vinci.
